Default Question about HU and M2W - C6

I don't know if I saw this here or somewhere else... but...

Can you install a m2w or similar exhaust valve switch to be controlled by an aftermarket HU such as the Pioneer z130bt? If so, Is there a write up somewhere on here on how to wire it up to the HU?

I swear i saw it on a video somewhere...

Yes, it's actually pretty easy to do. Whatever device you want to have controlled by the radio is just wired to the relay connections on the back of the radio instead of the current mechanical switch. Just make sure the current draw isn't more than the HU is rated for (if it is, use a relay).

BTW, I don't remember the z130 having connections to control an external device, IIRC only certain Kenwood units have that, but do your own research to be sure.
