Horn Issue C6 Z06

I have a C6 Z06 that I just installed a Kenwood DNX 9980HD, with the GMOS04 adapter. When I hit the horn I have a 50/50 chance the horn with work, and then when it does it crackles the speakers pretty loud and sharp. Anyone experience this and know how to correct this?

Well you were 50% correct. The crackling was being caused by the GMOS04. The 50/50 was the relay not 100% seated in the fuse block under the hood. Reseated the relay, turned down the amp gain on the GMOS and now all is good.
