Stereo problems
I recently purchased a kenwood 7180head unit from my local stereo store with Bluetooth,sirius, and iPod harness. Started having problems right off bat the memory presets would not stAy set usually only lasting a day the iPod would not play and every time I got a phone call the screen on the stereo would go black with a loud static noise coming from it. The shop took it out And sent it to kenwood for repair/replace issues. They got it back and were told it was fixed. They reinstalled it and it worked fine for two days then all the problems started again. They sent it back to kenwood and told me they would replace it .just heard from them today kenwood told them due to my problems they would replace it with the 9980hd head unit at no cost to me the dealer is also go ing to change the harnesses to a different model. I was looking for some feedback with all the electronics in the c6 is it worth attempting a 3rd install, I was ready to cut my losses and sell the new head unit when it came in

With just the little bit of info in your post, I'm willing to bet that the install shop hooked something up wrong that's causing the radio problems, and they may now realize that. As long as it isn't costing you anything (except time away from your vette, which many consider priceless), then I'd give them one more shot at getting it right (installing radios into cars is easy, IMO most problems that 'professional' shops run into come from them THINKING they know what certain cars need, when every car is just a wee bit different).
