Installing an audio upgrade. Interior is completely disassembled. Seats, center console, and door panels are removed. HU is still intact.
Guess what - I neglected to raise the windows. I need to sound insulate the doors. I am apprehensive about connecting the battery with all the electrical connectors unplugged.
Can I hang the door panels, connect only the door connectors, and raise the windows without causing any problems?
I had my seats out with the car running at one point during my install in the '07. I remember having lots of warnings and lights but they all reset once the car was back together. I think you'd be fine just connecting the door skins.
Decided to play it safe. Set the seats on 2x4's and connected the 3 seat connectors on each side and the door panel connectors. Connected the battery. The drivers window would not move at all and the passenger window only moved a few inches up.
Then I shut the doors completely and all was well, both windows went to full travel.
Installing Arc Audio KS125.4 and KS500.1 amps with Hybrid Audio speakers. The sub is an Arc 10. The 125 is installed in the Bose amp location and the 500 will be behind the waterfall (vert). HU is the stock NAV.
Only have the door insulation left to do tomorrow and then wire the amps. Should have it all back together Saturday.
Have to locate the B3 wire for amp turn on. Going to try that first with a fall back to the add a fuse method.
