Default Radio Removal Thread?

Can someone point me in the direction of a post that has detailed pictures of how to remove the nav radio in my 2008. I have searched but can't find.

Thanks for any help.

Did you look in the C6 FAQ at the top of the page? Go down to Members Install Threads. There are a few write ups. Your 2008 will be the same as the 2007s.

it is not tough to remove the radio. remove the console lid (four torx screws), remove two plastic caps towards front of the console and remove the two screws, pop up the parking brake boot by applying upward pressure, remove the two screws on the side of the console, open the glove box, remove the plastic trim piece on passenger side of center stack, start popping up the entire center stack (don't be afraid of the noise), you can work your way from the back going forward and up the center stack, remove connectors for traction control, F55 (if applicable), console cigarette lighter, heated seats (if applicable), cigarette lighter in ashtray, hazard lights. the cigarette lighters are the most tricky to remove. each one requires that you depress a plastic square piece and simultaneously pull. i use a scratch awl which works on both, some members have a fancy curved pick that would probably make it easier to remove the cigarette lighter from the ashtray. once the center stack has been removed you will see four screws that hold that radio and two screws that hold the heater controls. all of the screws must be removed to remove the radio. removing the center stack is not difficult. don't be afraid, just get the tools and have at it. you can't break anything that can't be fixed.

Thanks so much. Sounds very easy. I can't easily find a thread with pictures in the FAQ but sounds like its not much.
