Does anybody think it possible to hardline a iPhone/iPod USB cord into a stock head unit? I want to do this without getting a car kit or or anything like that. This may help if any of you smarter electrical guy think it's possible http://pinouts.ru/CellularPhones-A-N...r_pinout.shtml
Use the pinouts you posted. Buy/splice an ipod cable so you can connect the audio to the changer input, and use other contacts in the ipod plug to splice in a 5v signal that you can get from a hacked power adapter or a $3 5v regulator from radio shack.
That's what I was thinking just wondering if anyone else has done it. I want to make a diy for the forum as long as I can figur it out lol thank for the input
they make cables that give you audio out so you dont have to try and hack up an ipod cable and if i recall not all ipod cables have all the wire present in them

Noted. Thanks! Do the audio cables have the ability to charge it though?

That comment shook something out of the cobwebs in my brain, so I went looking through my drawer of semi-useless cables....
I FOUND IT! I have an iogear cable that has an ipod docking connector on one end, and usb, stereo RCA plugs, and a video RCA plug on the other end. After searching my old emails, it's the GIPODAVC6
