Will removing dash speaker effect my OnStar?
2011 GS with non-Bose radio and no Nav option ...
I plan on keeping my OEM non-Bose / non-Nav HU ... I am only going to replace the door and rear speakers and power them with an aftermarket 4-way amp.
Also plan on adding a sub in the cubby, and powering it with an additional 1-way amp.
My question concerns the center dash speaker ... If I just unhook the wires to this speaker, will I still be able to hear the 'Turn-by-Turn Navigation' voice commands, and be able to use the OnStar cellphone without this dash speaker hooked up?
The reason I ask is that it seems like the OnStar voice is comming from that center dash speaker right now.
I am worried that after I install the new door, rear and sub speakers ... and unhook that center dash speaker, I won't here anything from the OnStar anymore, or hear the built-in OnStar cellphone.
