I installed the Pioneer X930BT today, get everything back together and it all seems to work awesome EXCEPT my ingnition button wont turn green anymore when the car is ready to start.
Its strange now when I walk away and the alarm activates - then walk back up to the car the green light on the ignition button comes on. I start the car, turn it off and the button doesn't light up again.
It used to light up everytime I turned the car off and would go to start it again??????
I disconnected the negative battery for the install, could some settings be off?
Enter the car and close the door light turns green - now while in the car "after' starting it; turn it back off while still seated in car - does the green light come back on?

No. But it does come on when the door closes after I get out of the car.

I have seen mine do that.
Is it possible that the starter switch is behaving normally and you are hyper sensitive following your recent install and just noticing now?
Why don't you describe your switches behavior from the moment you walk up to the car to the moment you walk away after shut down. We can then compare to our vettes.

Hello Kedar,
I haven't driven the car since my last post, am going for a drive tomorrow and will make note of the switches behavior.

When I first walk up to the car and get inside the green ignition light comes on. I hit the start button - she fires right up. I then shut her off, and green light will not come back on regardless of the options I perform (put in 1st, put in reverse, emergency brake up or down) no green light.
I walk away from the car let alarm set then walk back up and green light is back on????
Maybe it is just me, but I could have sworn that the green ignition light came on anytime I was inside the car with the fob before the install.

My switch performs exactly like yours. You have no defects and should be pleased with yourself for installing the aftermarket stereo.
I would like to add that when entering the car, the light does not come on until after you close the door.
I guess I was just paranoid after performing the install, the most difficult part was the R & R of the dang console trim. The door chimes sound a little sick but life is good the Nav system is awesome and it appears my car is operating normal.
