Default Amp is running hot

I'm running a JL Audio 500/5 amp mounted inside a Madville Motorsports amp rack. The amp is mounted very snugly inside the box with no air circulation. I never push the amp but it gets hot to the touch after a long drive so I added two 4" cooling fans to the top, blowing down across the top and rear of the amp but it still runs warm. I checked the amp with a laser temp reader the other night after a nine hour drive and it read 114 degrees. Is that still too hot and am I looking at an eventual amp failure from heat?

I think its the nature of the beast. The Slash amps run hot. I have a 450/4v2 and a 300/2v2 in my C6. I have the volume cranked up to 11 much of the time. The amps get so hot you cant put your hand on them for more than a couple seconds without pulling off. They even get pretty warm at low volume. They've been in the car 3 years now and havent missed a beat. I think you'll be OK.

I don't think 114º is too hot but if your worried about it you could try flipping the fans over so they pull the hot air out of the enclosure.
