Default product development- C5 Owners please help! LED wiring?

We are about to launch a new product and we need a C5 owners help.

We need to find out the color of head lamp/ running lamp wire and also the color of the brake lamp wire. Both should be 12V power. The exact location of the harness preferrably somewhere in the trunk or behind seats would be nice.

We will be tapping in LED lighting on our product to these wires.

IMPORTANT: We also need a good ground location that is easy to get to somewhere towards the rear of the vehicle or at least to the rear of seating area.

Please write me at Stephen@windrestrictor.com if you can help.

Thanks guys. Yes, I have the wiring schematics. There are only 13 grounding spots according to schematics. I wish there were thousands or even hundreds. The C6 was so much more easy to figure out. I was asking about locations to the rear of vehicle and supposedly there are only two. I could not find either one although I was looking at where it said I should be looking. I was hoping for a photograph so that even I could maybe find it.

As for wires, I think I've determined that the TAN wire is running light/ head light wire and YELLOW is the brake wire. I will not be able to test until i find a ground that is simple enough to be a DIY. I can't ask customers to run a ground all the way from under the hood through the body and back into the trunk.

Do a search for posts under my name, I have posted pictures in the past of the rear ground lugs inside the rear wheel wells. It might even be in the C5 FAQ's.

I think I found the post you mentioned. You mention the storage bin and I think I know where that is in the trunk.

However, I can not figure out where in the car this photo was taken. Can you help clarify this?

I guess I mean, how do you gain access inside the rear wheel wells?

I've found the grounding spot.

Does ANYONE know where I can find the BRAKE lamp wire running through the car somewhere? Also, the BROWN tail light wire? I popped out the tail light and it was brown but can NOT find it running through the panels anywhere????

I'm pretty sure the brake wires run from the fuse box to the rear of the car completely outside the cabin. The plug is outboard of the passenger side muffler, under the rear bumper, try to follow it under the car but I bet it goes all the way to the engine compartment.

Best bet would probably be to tap it at the rear brakes and run a new wire.
