C6 Z06 Big-3?
I've searched but couldn't come up with much. How would you do the big 3 upgrade on a C6 Z06 since the battery is in the trunk? Is it necessary?
I plan on doing a complete system install. Going to start taking the car apart today. And would like to get this done and get everything I need while I'm out today.

its pretty heave wire from battery to front of car and battery to frame ground. i would do alternator to where it ties in up front at the jump start terminal i believe. and engine block to frame ground

IMO it's not really needed in a Z, GM already took care of it for you
Using this conversion...
mm2 = AWG Size
0.22 = 24
0.35 = 22
0.5 = 20
0.8 = 18
1.0 = 16
2.0 = 14
3.0 = 12
5.0 = 10
8.0 = 8
13.0 = 6
19.0 = 4
32.0 = 2
50.0 = 1/0
And these schematics...
...you can see that all of the big 3 wires are already pretty big.
Of course, bigger is always better. It wouldn't hurt to do what Greg suggests and add bigger block to frame and alt to B+

I didn't realize they were all a good size. Now I have something to think about.

So according to the diagram, the positive lead off the battery is 2 gauge????
I'm planning on getting one these for the new system and I want to make sure it would fit.

40 mm^2 is just a bit smaller than 1/0 AWG, that terminal should work just fine.
