JL 3-ways up front (C6-653....6 1/2" woofer, 4" mid, and 3/4" tweeter). JL coaxials in rear (C5-525). JL 10W3v3 subs (10" at 4 ohms each wired in parallel for 2 ohms). Everything is so crisp and tight.

MarkCZ and Gang,

I have the near same head unit here (x930BT) but could mirror Z's system build here pretty close and was thinking of upgrading my current Vert:

JL C5's doors - JL Amp 700 - JL 10"Subs W0's in trunk TO:

Hertz Mille doors - JL Amp HD900/5 - JL 10"Subs W3v3 in a ported box in trunk

My question - will I notice a huge difference (Remember I have a Vert so not as much space as Z here) and would you do this upgrade?

Thx,

TB

You have great speakers in front. If you haven't heard a 900/5 from JL, I suggest you do. It's an amazing amp for a 5 channel. I would say it's the best out there. From your amp to this one would be huge. This is the exact system I'm putting together now. I have the vert like you and going with vettenut sub boxes. The amp is expensive but it's awesome. I believe the cheapest online is around $750.00.

Dude, not sure if those corner boxes (which look killer by the way) would fit my Vert? Here's a pick of mine current...not sure why my installer wouldn't have used the cubby storage that these would

thought if I put 10" subs in I would end up losing my trunk anyway.

He has them for the C6 verts. They drop down in the holes and leave quite a bit trunk space. I like them because they look like they belong there. Since you already have the boxes I'd probably just swap the subs and put the extra money towards the 900/5

Yes, I saw that. Would you put the subs in a ported box rather than what I have and upgrade the amp to the 900/5 if I wanted deeper bass?
