Looking for a new head unit
I have a base stereo in my 08 Vette. I am finally tired of paying for XM when the damn car sits in the garage all the time.
I want the following:
1. CD/MP3 player - want to be able to play music from an IPod or even my bloody Blackberry
2. Decent power - I know the factory head unit is weak (non Bose), and the stock speakers may suck, but one thing at a time.
3. Bluetooth - so I can use my phone hands free.
4. USB
5. Double DIN
6. Fairly inexpensive
7. Install kit and wiring harness adapter.
I don't care about the following:
1. Navigation - I can read a map and use a compass. Land Nav and Orienteering are things I am used to. If I am that damn lost, I can enable the GPS on the phone.
2. DVD Video - My kid has an IPad and can watch videos on it.
I know some of you guys are into serious audio, I just want some simple upgrades and decent sound. The car has an SLP Loudmouth I exhaust and with the top off, it is fairly loud.
