Hey guys, I have a kicker amp that was connected to a subwoofer when I bought the car, and on a stock headunit.
Since then I've sold the subwoofer, bought a new one, and bought an aftermarket headunit.
The amplifier no longer turns on. Since then I've changed batteries, but i'm almost positive the power cord for the amp was never connected to the battery.
I can't seem to find the power cord in the engine bay anywhere, even after taking the battery out. Also the lead is connected to fuse #10 (WSW) which seems weird to me.
HEre's a pic of the farthest I could follow the power wire.
Yeah I get that, should it be wired on that fuse though? or to my headunit.
I took the battery out and I can't find the power wire anywhere in the engine bay. It's simply not there that I can see. I dont know if I can remove anything else to look for it. I'm so lost. Is it possible the power wire is wired into something other than the battery?

Is that the thing that says B+ And has a little clip off the fusebox? Because there is nothing there
Heres a picture of the engine bay:
Can you unbolt that platform under the battery by undoing those bolts? Maybe it's hidden under there. I had the battery changed since I bought it...but pretty sure it wasn't on there to begin with.
The amp worked when I first bought the car, I'm almost positive I never saw the power wire anywhere in the engine bay then either.
I guess I should rewire the power cord...I can't get the damn fusebox out on the inside though, the relay box or whatever it is. Can I get to just above it if I remove the glovebox?

The remote wire is prob why your amp doesn't turn on any more. When you removed OEM radio did you connect new HU 'remote turn on wire' to original harness?
Run a wire from new hu to amp trigger.
Even if you can't find source, big power wire is prob still hot.
Look at manual for new radio, wire is 'remote amp turn on', its either blue or blue/white. If you use antenna wire the amp will only turn on when you're tuned to radio.
Any gauge wire is fine, it doesn't pull squat for current.
Before you do that, connect a jumper wire between B+ and trigger terminals on amp, it should power up.
My amp has three different turn on switches as well, audio, DC+ and 12v I think?
I could try that tomorrow, going to pick up some wire I guess.
Thanks for the help, sorry I'm pretty new to car audio stuff.

Any 2" piece of wire will do for the jumper experiment. Just hold it between the two blue wires currently on your amp. If it turn on, your problem is the trigger from new HU isn't connected.
