Added a XR1S and relocated the XR4S from the behind the passenger seat. The 4 channel is bridged to the fronts (Elemental Designs separates) and the sub mono amp is going to an Image Dynamics sub. Kenwood DNX9960 is the head unit. My Z now has the pop I was looking for. Nothing elaborate, just plain and simple the way I like it. Thanks Hi-Pro Audio.
I'm running the e3.65i and I like them. I like my treble a little bright and these are but you can tone them down. My tweeters are not pillar mounted so that may tone them down a little also. Mid range is excellent and even without the sub they sound okay, well better than the stock Bose anyways. To me this is a low to low midrange system that still sounds decent and punchy and will play louder than I will ever listen to it and still sound good.
I would imagine you can't go wrong with Focals. I was in my car tonight listening to some of the tracks off of "Deadwing" by Porcupine Tree and holy smokes it sounded good. Tight and punchy and the mids were really good. Should have added that sub amp a long time ago. Thanks again to Dennis at Double D Mods for hooking me up with most of my system.
how did you secure the amp box to the car.???
I ask becuase I dont like to drill holes in the car. and may be you did use something that is not screw into the car.
Hitmanpty, it is bolted to the floor simply for safety sake. I do a little spirited driving (never street racing ) and the last thing I want is that rack and the amps to become missiles in my car should something happen. Great care was taken to insure no wires or lines were cut or punctured during the install.
