I was going to recommend HUmount, I just installed one on my car. He might be able to make you a pocket in his design. I have seen one other with a pocket, but not sure who makes it?
Did either of you have depth issues with your radios and HUMOUNT faceplates? My radio fits fine, but the RCA's stick too far out the back and hit the AC duct work. My radio measures 6" from the mount surface to the back. The actual space is 6.5". So you basically get half an inch to mount connectors to the back of the radio. Most are working fine, but was not sure if my new kenwood is longer than other models? Dennis is looking for some 90 adapters to plug into my RCA cables. One of my older alpines was nice and had the amp RCA connections on a wire dangling down from the back.

Well after buying some 90 degree adapters I was able to get the beast to fit without cutting anything on the car. I did dremel all the 90 degree parts to provide a little more clearance. I found a set of Sound Quest RCA cables that had 90 ends on one side and they were very low profile and bought me close to 1/4" on the middle set of outputs, then I used the 90 adapters on the bottom and aimed them straight down.
You would think this might be a more readily available item as cars get smaller and the radios stick around 6" deep.
