c5 stereo/amp issue
I have a 1998 with a stock stereo. This is a "new to me" Corvette, so I am still looking at what it might be. I checked the fuses/relay, and they are fine. Before I go buying new components, I was wondering where/what to check next. The bass/treble controls do affect it somewhat, but it still sounds very bad.

Can you be more specific than 'sounds bad' 
Doors each have an 8" powered sub near floor, with a 3.5" mid/high range above it. Can you tell if all four are working?
If subs are out, check fuses 5, 24, 28, & relay 45. All in passenger footwell.
C5 prints are HERE
There's a good chance prior owner had aftermarket system, so you never know what may have been forgotten when it was de-modded.

It sounds like there is zero bass, as in very "tinny" and ear piercing.
I will check the other fuses. I only checked #28 and relay 45.Will be back with my findings.
Edit: I went and checked...all fuses are fine.
