Question for the forum audio hounds, what did you have installed and the price? I'm in MI and been to one company ("car tunes") priced a complete "Arc" audio system, tweets, coaxials, 4 components to replace the 2 10" door speakers ks900 amp and 2 rear 10" pioneer subs and boxes.
My car came with the Bose/NAV. I left all the factory speakers and head unit. I made little mounting brackets for 1" soft dome tweets I got from a friend. Those were mounted in the door in front of the 3" bose. Another 1" tweeter was installed in the rearview mirror facing the windshield for staging. For some bass I added a JL 500/1 to a dual voice-coil 10" bazooka. Very good staging crisp high's but no fatigue. Bass hits hard & gets low and is smooth & clean. I might be $1,500 into it that includes some labor. I bought all the bass equipment new and cheap on ebay. That said with better equipment and good tuning you could blow mine away.
I'm well aware that bazooka is not high end but I have put my system up against much more expensive set-ups and those owners liked mine better. That included a full focal system installed by some shop out here in LA. It is very surprising! It's not all about the components it is the tuning also.

Thanks Joe, "car Tunes" wanted $3000.00 installed for this latest released system, I'm going to shop around.
You might want to look into the KS Mini line of amps from Arc. You can mount 2 of them in the same space as the factory amp in the passenger footwell. You could put a 125.4 there for your components/coaxials, and a 500.1 for subs. It would be a little more wiring with 2 amps, but the power and RCA cable runs would be shorter than mounting an amp in the back.
You could also skip the coaxials in the rear and just run components in the doors plus subs. I put in 5 1/4s when I did the install on my coupe, and ended up putting the fader all the way to the front and just using the components, anyway. In that case, with the KS Minis, you could use a 125.2 instead of 125.4.
