I replaced my stock c6 navagation head unit [its for sale] And put in a pioneer AVH-P4400BH... NEXT Question with every thing stock except for head unit now, im trying to decide on speakers for in the doors.. I see alot of post of 6.5 speakers, but wonder if this best way to go with it, as stock except for new [great] head unit ??... The place that installed head unit was aiming at two way's but said diff size ?,, but wasnt round, they were ? [not 6x9] but smaller..-- Dont think he knew what was orig in car for size when he said this... Any thought's guy's
WAS looking at Powerbass 3xl-6502 6.5-Inch 2 Way 3 Ohm 180 Watt Speakers .. Any thoughts, and if they will fit - think thier 2.9 mounting depth

I plan on at this time to not install after market amp, So i didnt know if i should find the orig size door speakers as per after market ?? or go with the 6.5 , 2 ways... Wasnt sure if i gain much removing 8" ? stock one's, and going to 6.5 2 ways, or possable three ways.. I hate to remove the stock door 8" and go done to say a 6.5 inch 2 way and gain nothing - So im aiming just to just replace door speakers for now, if it will inprove it..--- 8" or 6.5 with 2 way or 3 way..BUT not spend major money on them as im not adding amp at this time...... And by the way, putting in the pioneer head unit did a major inprovment in sound and volume... As now i can fine tune it better

You don't want to remove the oem door subs if you aren't putting a real sub in the trunk. For now try something like this to replace just the pos paper speakers. You'll get better highs but keep the door subs (not great, but do the job fine).
If you remove the door subs the best bang-for-your-buck upgrade is a set of 6.5" components in the doors and a 10" sub in the trunk. Power everything from a bridged 4-channel amp running as 3 channels. If you want to add rears get 5.25" coaxials and a 5-channel amp.
Im a little confused on the kicker up grade... so i leave the stock 8" woofer [ isnt a sub ] and add the DS35 IN [ABOVE] , woofer where factory smaller speaker is ??? ---- and the DS525 Goes in the rear just behind seat's .. right ???.. I TALKED with the guy from that sight and he also said i could run new wires from head unit to doors and add 6.5 in place of woofer ?? .. Which do you think would give better sound

The oem amp or new HU (regardless of which brand) doesn't really have enough power to give components what they need to sound good, you need an amp to do that. It's actually a step backwards IMO to remove the oem door subs if not properly amping the components and adding a sub in the trunk.
No need to run new wires unless you install an amp, and then it's actually easier to run the wires than splice into existing.
The other stock speakers in the doors and rear are nothing special. They're just paper cone speakers that have trouble producing high notes. If you replace them with the Kicker upgrade you'll get better/cleaner highs, but it won't be any louder.
You can do whatever you want to, it's your car, we're just trying to pass along lessons already learned
Im going to go with the kicker set up... for now.... But when door panel removed, i want to add Ensolite between panel and door..- I also thought i read somewhere to add somthing to inside of door behind speaker ?? to improve sound also ...ANY idea's
RAAMaudio.com has the best bang-for-your-buck soundproofing. Ensolite only wouldn't do near as good as Ensolite plus a few pieces of BXT on the door skin itself
