Sinfoni, Mosconi, and various Tru Tehnology amplifiers could be considered "better"... but then again physical dimensions play a major role in Vette installations.
Correct me if I'm wrong you can't by new mosconi stuff? And the other brands are home audio gear?
A few of them for sure - I use the Zapco Studios in my other vehicle and have extras I was going to use in the vette but also didn't want to take up too much cargo space for my black pair of 500s. Didn't use my black PG ZPA 0.5 for sub duty for the same reason... even though it would have looked phenomenal sunk into the top of a sub box.
I used Hertz speakers (front), Kicker speakers (rear) and ONE jl amp and ONE l sub. Miine cost about $2,500.
Not sure why you need two amps, though. If the car were bigger or if you had a convertible and needed to really push the sub, I could see two amps. But you don't have a lot of space and you don't want to stick stuff behind the seat, do you? I mean a sub is gonna take one cubby, right? And an amp may take the other cubby.
Run one five channel amp (two sets of speakers and a sub) or a three channel amp (front speakers and a sub - leave the rear speakers connected to the HU).
BTW, everyone who has commented on this post - Mark, Dennis, Pentavolvo, etc. - are top Corvette stereo guys.
The Vettes are a little bit different when it comes to stereos and it helps to have people who are familar with the car. These guys know every inch of a Vette.
If I were starting from scratch and had the money up front, I would go with a package from Dennis and let one of these guys install it. Unfortunately, I'm about 2,000 miles away from any of these guys, plus I had to add stereo stuff as I went along, so I didn't have the money up front.
