i bought a delco cd unit from a corvette parts dealer about 4 years ago. he advertized it as a delco cd replacement for the stock bose system. from what i understand, it's some S10 configuration, but i don't know for sure. the installation was straight forward - just plug and play. the only mod was splicing one wire for the power antenna. sound quality is very good for a stock delco unit. i do have a couple of very-very minor problems. 1) there is a very slight background noise - probably amplified by the powered speakers. it's so slight, that when there is a broadcast signal, or playing a cd, you really don't notice it. 2) i have a slight electrical "pop or snap" when i hit the radio power on/off button. since i hardly ever turn the radio off (it powers down via the ignition), it's really not a big deal. i guess i could eliminate this by a capacitor in the power line to the radio. the best part of this unit is it looks completely stock. several forum members haved asked for the gm part number, and i thought it was on the box (but it's not). i'll try to pull the center trim and get the p/n off the radio itself. i'll try to post later - hope this helps -
