I noticed my front speakers weren't playing the other day. I took them out, looked for a loose wire, all is good. Took my rear speakers out, plugged them into the front and they work fine. Plugged the fronts into the rear connections, nothing. Took the fronts and tried them in the front again and as I was plugging the left one in, had sound for a split second, bit nothing more. Plugged the rears in the front again, they are working.
I don't think the fronts are blown, but they are not playing either. What could cause this?
Loose connection between the terminals and the voice coil? The tinsel leads can come loose, causing this problem... inspect the back of the terminal point for a loose solder connection.
Thanks guys. I'll check the resistance here in a few. I did feel the tinsel leads and the were connected well.
So I am looking for a 6.5 inch mid level woofer. Rather not have a tweeter cause I want better mids coming from the rear of my 2003 C5. I will have a good component or coax up front, replacing what I have now. Any suggestions?
