Is there a way to remove a CD from a damaged/unpowered factory NAV radio? Iv seen single DIN units that have a small acess hole to release the tray, any tips would be appreciated?
TIA Rob.
The screen should move and CD's eject with just 12v applied. Without plugging entire unit in to oem plugs, you'd need to connect +12v to pin B1 and ground to pin A12 (both on biggest plug in back of radio). If you're looking at the pins in the back of the radio, B1 should be bottom right and A12 should be top left.

Thanks Mark,
the HU was not out of the car,i was hoping there was a non-electrical way to remove the CD, at this point the car has been towed to the junk yard or whatever fancy name they call them nowadays and a total loss thanks to Hurricane Sandy and is now out of my control.
The good news is my new 13' is set to be built week of 12/10/12 so there is a happy part of this saga
