I have a CustomAuto Sound USA-1 XM Ready HU in my '67, along with 2 amps, 6 speakers, it turns out great sounds. I have just recently bought a iPhone 4 and want to connect to the HU. It does have 6 RCA jacks, 4 of which are connected to the 2 amps. Doing some research I have found a Ziotek ZT1900665HC1 connector with male RCA ends and a 30 pin connector. Has anyone used one of these, if not what have you used. RadioShack had a connector but instead of a 30 pin end, it was a single male end that plugged into the ear phone jack on the phone. This didn't seem to be right/best means. Your thoughts and ideas are appreciated. Dennis
If the radio at the bottom of this page is the one you have, it lists "Auxiliary Input for direct connection to todays audio" as a feature. If that's the two RCA jacks, then all you need is either

If you're looking for something that will charge the phone at the same time, you can wire in any normal car usb charger (in a hidden location) and use a normal usb-ipod cable to charge it.
If you get the Ziotek cord I don't think you'll have any control over the volume coming out of the ipod, I believe that's just a normal line-level signal (which is most likely what the HU is expecting). Potential issue is very low volume.
If you get the headphone to RCA adapter you can control the input to the HU by adjusting the ipods volume control. I used to use a cord just like that to play my portable CD player through an old boom box with RCA input jacks. It sounded pretty good if volume was set right, but if you had volume too high there was a lot of distortion.
OK, were making progress. Don't forget, I'm using an iphone, not an ipod. I don't know if this is a point of concern or not. I can use my iphone in my other car that has an Alpine CDE-123 and I can control the volume at the HU. Your thought? Dennis

iPod/iPhone doesn't matter as long as what you have has the old style dock connector, not the new smaller digital one.
Either cord will work. If you think you'll ever want to plug in the phone to charge it while listening, go with the headphone cord.
The dock connector cord has a preset volume level that you can't change. It should be fine as-is. I have two ipods and an iphone, all are a tad louder than the other sources on the HU, which is fine unless I have XM cranked up then switch over without lowering the volume.
With either cord you'll have control of the volume of the HU, I'm talking about the 'volume' going in to the HU.
For under $10 each, why not try them both and keep the one that sounds better
