Default Install Questions

I just purchased a diamond component set with 8" mid woofer. what is the depth of the door cavity as these things are roughly 3' deep.
Also when i make brackets to install, what thickness mdf board to I use.
Vendor strongly suggested not to use a class d amp like a kenwood or jl but was wondering what your thoughts were. I have a jl in my 2010 camaro with the boston setup and i think it sounds good, but i also realize i have steeped up into a different class of audio. He sold mosconi amps?
Also has anyone use diamond speakers n there car, mine is a 05 convertible. I also bought a 10" diamond sub for the trunk. Also the crossovers are huge on these speakers so any suggestions on placement? If i use a kenwood or jl amp would like to place it in the floor were Bose amp is located.

Also I am using all the threads on the forum to help but just looking for any other help.

A 3' deep speaker may be a problem in the door, but 3" will fit fine

1/4", 3/8", or 1/2" MDF all work good for the lower speaker plates. Tweeter plate is normally 1/4". Paint the plates flat black before installing.

I don't think most people can even tell a difference between a Calss D amp and anything else these days. If you want to mount it in the oem amp location you're almost stuck with them.

There is lots of room on top of the plastic cover above passengers feet for crossovers or any other modules.
