Can I run my back up camera power lead to my radio fuse, or will that run my battery down? Seems that if the radio is off, the camera will be off? I know I can use the cruise control and seat heater fuses right? Thanks...
Best source to use is to tap off your rear backup lights for +12V when put into reverse. But be sure to run the negative source all the way back to the head unit itself else you can get interference which will show up as horizontal lines and make the picture horrible. Ask me how I know...
If you use the reverse lamp wire as +12 to camera you'll only be able to use it when in reverse.
If you think you'll ever want to look at camera while driving connect + to wiper fuse, or heated seats fuse, or install a relay on amp trigger and use any B+ source via N.O. relay contact.
I do want to be able to view it while driving, so I wired it to the cruise control fuse. I have read on here that it is switched? It works properly, but sure don't want battery drain. Is CC fuse switched Mark?
