you can afford a JL5005? Next to the Diamond Audio amp, it's probably one of the most pricey 5 channels. Here's a few to consider just in case.....
-Phoenix Gold XS6600 - I believe it's still on the market... it kicks butt, 75x4 with 300 bridgeable for the 5th and 6th channels. You can also add a sublevel control like the JL Audio amp.
-If you can get your hands on a F752 Alpine amp made with Tri Path, go for it... it's a great amp for the money.
-the new Kenwood Excelon 5 channel amp is pretty nice, and very affordable. And best of all, unlike most Japanese amps, it's powerful.
-I still think the JL Audio 5 channel amp is your choice... especially if you're not running anything too power hungry for rears. (JL has 25 x 2 at the rear, 100 x 2 at the front, 250 x 1 mono for the sub).
Btw... JL does not honor warranties on products purchased on the Internet... something to consider. You must send a receipt from an authorized dealer with every warranty problem. This is the case with almost every manufacturer

I am getting the items from a local shop ... and since my brother owns the building they rent ... they are hooking me up ... on the JL's price ..
I have an MTX 5400x. It is really good (never had it thermal on me and I have pushed it hard). It has a class D sub channel on it for better efficiency.
I have heard good reviews of the Hifonics 5 channel amp too (its not a super high-end brand though).
I have the new Kenwood Excelon 5 channel amp. It was just a little over $400 and have no complaints what-so-ever. Plus it has a fancy little LED that cycles colors as its on :yesnod:
You Bought THE SHIZNIT!!!! I have the 5 channel in the pathy and a 300/1 in the vette....I did not want too much drain on the batt and did not want to install another battery and upgrade my alternator...did you have to?
I doubt that Iwill ever let another soul touch my MagRedII baby, within reason.....
I just bought the amps 5 days ago, and have not got around to installing it ... I plan to, if needed, to upgrade the battery and then lastly the alternator ... it all depends on the results ...
