Default What is this hookup for?

So I have been wondering what this was originally for since I got my car. My guess is that it is audio related, but I can't seem to find anything that matches. Car is a 2004 C5 z06 and has the factory head unit still. Any Ideas? (The pink thing)

It looks like an XM antenna.

Hrm that seemed to be the response I've gotten elsewhere as well. The presence of this means that the stock stereo has been messed with right? Should I pull it apart and investigate before I start planning a system upgrade?

If you're replacing the radio, odds are you won't be able to use whatever is there any way.

PO prob had a portable XM unit and decided it was just easier to leave the antenna when they sold the car. I've left a few things behind in each of my last few cars also
