C6 Front Speaker Mounting Depth
I haven't been able to find it anywhere online. 
I have a set of Image Dynamics XS69 (6x9s) I was thinking about throwing in there, but they're 3.6" deep....

If you're replacing one of these factory speakers this is the measurements from the ones I pulled out, when I had them out if I remember correctly these only cleared the window when its down by a little over a 1/4" My issue came in on the other side of the speaker the mount depth was fine but with the OEM speakers the cone and everything is completely recessed into the black frame around it. My aftermarket speakers stuck out further toward the door panel. I replaced my door speakers with a pair of powerbass 7" coaxials, they were the only thing my local guy had that would fit, I used the turbowire 72-4568 connectors, they're for a C5 but if you cut off the little thing on one side of it, it'll slide into the C6 connector. I lost some deep bass, but the midrange sounds a lot better. They've been installed about a year and haven't had any issues.
I'm just an audio noob, but I don't think you'll be able to get 3.6" in there and still be able to roll the window down. Dennis from DD will probably know the exact #s

Cool, that helps, particularly on the front side clearance - hadn't thought of that, but didn't see any other reference to front side problems in any searches either...
If we ever definitively identify for the mounting depth, we should certainly add to the FAQ thread. I could/will get it when I pull the door panels, just thought helpful to know ahead of time so I could plan to have the correct speakers on hand.

Just measured it. 2007 C6
From face of OEM fiberglass baffle;
2-7/8" to sled
3-1/8" to rail.
3-3/4" to glass.
Caution that is ZERO clearance !
