Default Head unit and parts

Looking to upgrade my stock C6 unit with a touch screen. I want to keep the total cost below $600 including all parts. Only requirements are Bluetooth with iPhone5 and build in navigation. DVD player would be nice as well as XM radio but not a must. Been looking through the forum for a while but can't find a single post that flat out says what is actually needed. Suggestions for unit and what parts are needed to complete the install?

I don't think you can achieve your goals within the budget you are looking to spend.

Since I have been going through this exercise myself:

Dash kit: metra 95-3304
Antenna adapter: metra 40-gm10
Chimes/Cabling: PAC g2r-gm24

If you are willing to compromise on Nav, These guys seem to have some decent soup-to-nuts kits:

Or at least help you adjust budget expectations.

What about using a headunit like this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/170982698551?lpid=82
I don't really care about name brand which seems to be why Pioneer and Kenwoods are so expensive. The issue is I don't know what I need to get as far as dash kit and anything else with a unit like the one in the link.

For $600 you'll be looking at used

However, you're only $300 apart from this one: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/audi...-dnn990hd.html

The one I linked wasn't used. The one you linked was and has less features. Apparently I'm missing something here. Why pay hundreds more for the same or less features and used when there are these others with the same sound quality, more features, and new? I'm asking for an actually justification here because clearly I am missing something, I just don't know what.

the EBAY radio will NOT fit into the Metra dash kit as all the cheap radios on EBAY like this are oversized and will not fit into a standard double din opening. I know as I deal with so many people in the Gen 4 Camaro and Firebird world where kids are buying cheap EBAY radios like this, ordering a custom double din bezel we make then find out the radio does not fit as its not a traditional Kenwood, Sony, Alpine, Pioneer ect radio.
