C6 audio questions
setup: C6 coupe w/bose.
upgrades: Kenwood DNX9990hd
Kicker KS35 in doors
Kicker KS525 in rear
GMOS-04 used for install.
With this setup I assume the HU goes into the bose and the bose amp runs the speakers, therefore the HU amp (23x4) is not used. Am I correct?
If that's the case, would it sound better if i just used the bose amp to power the bose door subs and have the HU power the speakers? This way in the near future i'll just get a small 2 channel amp to power the rear 5 1/4" speakers. I've spent a ton this past year on mods and don't want to spend much more at the moment on the audio...

Ok, since no responses yet, i'll ask if this would sound better than it does now.
- disconnect the bose amp and subs altogether
- replace door subs and 3.5" with Alpine SPR-60C components.
-run an Alpine mrx-v70 5 ch amp to the doors and the existing kicker KS525 in rear and leave the 1 ch for sub open till i get a sub in the future.
I know I won't have deep base for a while, but the mids in the doors and rear should hold me over till i get a sub, no?

The stock setup has the HU feeding a line level signal to the Bose amp, which splits off the bass signal to the self-amped door subs. The Bose amp also powers all 3.5's (doors in stereo, center channel mono) and the rear 5.25's in mono.
If you repl the HU it would be EASIEST to just use the Bose amp and repl the 3.5/5.25 with decent aftermarkets.
It would sound the BEST if you gutted everything Bose and used components in the doors and a sub in the trunk. Your second post, even if done in increments, is prob the way to go.
