What are some of the 10" subwoofer options for a '13 C6 Coupe? I like the JL Audio Stealthbox, but I have the cargo matte which covers the 2 rear ports and do not want to cut or remove that. What appeals to me with the stealthbox is that it sits out of the way behind the wheel walls leaving the rest of the cargo area free to use. I was thinking of a 10" tube, but wondered what other options are out there.
I'm temporarily throwing a "truck box" (wedge) into the back of the Vette. Actually may not be a bad idea because its easily removeable and would still fit the top (if that were an option for me). I went with the JL 13TW5, but they also just released a 10" (10TW3) and a 12" (12TW3).
Ahhh, as my original post states I am looking for something that does not use those compartments because I have a premium Lloyds cargo mat that I do not want to remove or cut/modify. I'm looking for a subwoofer box that merely sits in the back, preferably one that uses the rear behind the wheel well or allows for maximum cargo space access. I was thinking of a 10" bass tube. But, I don't want something rolling around back there. LoL
Alternatively, what would be the best option for sound quality with replacing the stock speakers in my '13 Coupe? I realize I will not get as much lows as with a subwoofer, but is there anything on the market that could come close?
you will need to mount something if you do not want to drop in cubby to keep it secure
LLoyds will also make a mat with the cutouts already done for you as well. We sell the mats special cut for the boxes from lloyds
I would change the radio to improve your sound quality....on the 2012 and 13 with tweets in the dash a radio upgrade to say a 891 or 991 Kenwood is a great way to improve. Not only do you get better sound quality but features the stock radio simply can not do.
Yeah, we had played PM tag earlier last month. I am waiting for you to either have the Kenwood DNN991 or Pioneer NEX8000 in stock. What kind of speakers would you recommend as a direct replacement to the stock system? My main thing is I do not want to cut any of the factory trim or mounts as I would like to retain the ability to go back to stock, if desired, later.
Do you offer this cargo matte with the openings? If so, what's the price? How closely does the carpet color match the OEM carpet? The images look like a brighter silver tint, but that may be just the flash...
I just ordered the Pioneer TS-SWX251 10" Flat Subwoofer with Enclosure with an alpine 500.1 amp. Ill keep you posted on how it sounds. I liked that it doesn't take up much space(fits under the top), and is a down firing sub which means I can set things on the box without damaging the sub. I was told that the down firing sub will deflect the bass better than one facing up........Only one way to find out.
I made my own box... It's flush up against the rear of the seats, holds two 10's... Four channel amp mounted on back facing front of car, mono 1600watt amp under it to power the two subs, looks clean as can be and the only thing that I'm missing is two identical subs... I only need/want RF p'2s in there... Those are more than ample for what I like. Got one, the other is on order. For now stuck a old fusion in there. But, doesn't hurt sound at all.. She will rattle you're teeth.. They fire backwards towards the rear window hatch. And best thing, are placed far enough back I can still put my too in its stock location with plenty of room. Even still took my bike apart and fit it in there... Just nice.. I'd post a pic, but don't have one right now, if you wish I'll take one in the morning and send to you?
