Default aux input

Is there an easy way to add an aux input from the back of the HU to avoid having something plugged into the face of a 2012 1LT stock stereo....
want to have the 3.5 mm plug pop out thru the ash tray door, or console to plug my phone in.....
just trying to play Pandora/Slacker and roll stored music from my phone until I decide what to upgrade to for a HU.....
but I hate to have a wire plugged into the dash....

thanks for any help....

Would you be OK with a right-angle extension cord that tucks into the dash at the radio and comes out somewhere else? That would be easiest.

If you have the XM box installed you can do THIS

You may be able to get an iSimple module that works, but you should contact Dennis for info on those in a '12.

I'd rather have it hidden....and I'd prob have to take the dash apart to run the wire thru anyway....so if there is a second aux in the back of the unit I'd rather use that..

Unless you have the XM box and you splice in the cable, you're taking the dash apart.

There isn't anything behind the radio that you can just plug in to.

Ok. ... just hoped there was an extra input on the stock unit....maybe even use the front mounted aux input but tap into it from behind the unit even if it disabled the visible one? Or If there is an unused input for xm, can I just use that. ....

who is Dennis?....I've seen numerous bluetooth solutions, including the I-simple underdash boxes, but I'm just looking for a temporary fix to play Pandora/Slacker until the new generation App Radio for full smart-phone mirroring is bug free.....and just hoping to avoid plugging into the dash and having wires hanging around....
