c6 stock head unit?
Is there a difference between the stock radio head unit from a c6 with the bose system and one without the bose system?
I'm trying to find a 08+ head unit to replace the one in my 05 for the aux input and I can't get a definitive answer on whether or not the head units are all the same.

They're not exactly the same, but a newer radio SHOULD work in an '05 for all of the functions that you have now. Of course, any of the features that require plugs/wires that you don't have won't work (XM, BT....).
You'll also need to take it to a dealer after installed so they can match the car VIN to the new radio. Before you start the engine, make sure the radio works when in accessory mode since it will go into lockdown after the car is started.
Have you considered an aftermarket radio? Non-Nav units can do a lot more than just add an aux input for about the same $

Any year C6 oem HU should have basic functions and sound in any other year C6
If you can find a cheap or free one, go for it
If you have to pay more than $300, then an aftermarket unit would be the way to go.
