I just purchased an 02 Z06 and I want to install the same 12 CD changer that came in my 98 Coupe. My questions are: are the connections there and if they are not, what do I need to do to install one? What is a good after market unit that will work if the stock CD changer will not work? I have the same head unit that is in my 98. I really miss the 12 CD selections!
Even Z06's should have the connectors for the stock harness. You can get the changer from Ken Fitchner. He sells the unit plus an installation kit which has the harness and a mounting bracket. I just added one to my 2002 coupe. An install guide is available at: http://www.c5forum.com/diy/cd_changer.php
It's pretty much the same instructions that come with the install kit. Also see the reviews by me and others in the review section. Good luck!
