Before I converted the interior from blue to black I covered 100% of all panels with Dynamat and Dynaliner. Areas of the inner door I could not reach were sprayed with Boom Mat. The attached picture shows what almost $600 looks like under the new carpet......
For the two Kicker L5's:
I first glassed the storage bins
Lined them with both Dunamat and Dynaliner
Made a 3/4" MDF mounting base
Covered both top and bottom of mounting base with Dynamat
Silicone caulked and screwed MDF base down
Half filled the enclosures with poly fill
Mounted Kickers for an air tight seal
I had to turn the JBL amp down by over 50%. Good gosh these things hit hard
