I went in to Safe and Sound Mobile Electronics today to get an estimate on repalcing my 94 C4 Stock Audio system which came out to $2,600.
I told the guy I wanted good quality and clean bass nothing that drowns out my music.
The guy come up with this list:
Alpine INE-W940 (6.1' Touch screen, Nav, Bluetooth,USB) (Which they priced at $589)
Focal ISC-165 Front Speakers (Which they priced at $169.99)
Focal Integration ISC 690 Rear Speakers (Crutchfield priced at $199.99)
Alpine XD7005 (AMP) (Which they have priced at $569.99)
10' Alpine Sub (didn't get the price on) (Crutchfield has it listed for $299.99)
The parts prices are not outlandish, but you could probably save a couple hundred total if you ordered it from Amazon. ~770 for labor sounds pretty steep for the install. You might also question your need for a 700 watt amp. You could probably save a chunk of change there.
