1984 C4 - Replace speakers but keep stock head unit?
Previous owner of our 1984 C4 replaced the stock speakers and head unit. Now the head unit is failing and I would like to go back to the Delco/Bose head unit for the "stock" look. Is it possible to interface the stock head unit with the aftermarket amp/speakers that are now installed in the car?
I realize that this is a very general question without providing any information about the amp or speakers that are installed, but just looking for a high-level "yes" or "definitely no" so that I can assess what to do next. Do the Delco/Bose head units from the 1984 vintage work only with the stock "one amp per speaker" set up?

Thanks!
not likely the aftermarket speakers have the required amps needed for the stock radio. You need an amp to power each speaker
