Default Crossover mount inside foot rest?

I just finished installing a set of focal krx2 speakers in my 05 coupe. The crossovers for this component set are quite large, so while I had no issues mounting the passenger side crossover, there were not a lot of obvious places on the drivers side. Since my new heavier gauge wires from the woofers and tweeters were fed through the door boot and my main speaker wire was run from my amp in the cargo area and under the drivers side trim, they converged nicely at the drivers side foot rest. So, I mounted the crossover inside the foot rest and ran wires below and over the top to reach it. The install looks clean, but after finishing I started to wonder about heat? Is this going to be a problem, and if so, would cutting a small hole and installing a vent be sufficient to cool it? Thanks.

It shouldn't be a problem, but a few small holes on the side of the housing prob wouldn't hurt.
