internal amp?
To start things off, I have a C5 with all factory radio/audio parts. Recently, my radio has been acting up. The bass went out a couple weeks ago but has randomly been on for a day here and there. Also it seems as if the mids have gone out about half the time now. Is this the internal amp in the radio going out? Would a same year Camaro radio fit right in with wiring harness? (I have access to a free one if it does) Or do I need to go junkyard diving

It could be the radio, or the Bose processor, or just a loose connection, or even a broken wire in the door accordion 
I know that's not much help, but it really can be anything. If you have free parts to try, unless you can narrow down the issue farther, go for it.
