Default Rear camera wiring help!!!

I have a DDX 9902S that I bought from Denis at DD Mods. I have wired the Pyle view camera and camera doesn't come on when I go in reverse. I have to manually go to settings to make it turn on. Need some help. Thanks in advance.

The purple HU wire needs to be connected to the car reverse lamp wire. Either in the footwell to the light green wire next to the BCM or at the reverse lights in the back.

Also, some HU have a setting that you need to put into 'auto' and/or +12v (vs ground).

I wired the black and red wire to the camera itself and the yellow AV to the correct position on back of the stereo but the purple wire I HAVE NOT connected. Bingo!! Where is that wire by the footwell and what color is it?

Used to be a GOOD pic HERE in post #2, but it isn't working. Maybe Nomad still has it to post again

Found below pic on google, just above the fuses is a rectangle shape plug looking gizmo with a wire bundle coming out to the right. Undo the tape and tap the light green wire, there should only be one that color. Using a wire tap gizmo like this is fine.

There are two green wires. One is a dark green and there is another that is a bit lighter. Then there is one that almost looks yellow or is yellow. Which one is it? By the way thanks for the help, much appreciated!!

The light green one. In your pic it's the one on the left.

Not much you can do without the camera. If you buy the camera and install it now you can run the video and power wires to the front, that's about it.

Thanks Markcz for the quick reply. I guess I will wait until I buy the camera and replace the head unit.

So I'm guessing there is no reverse wire output on the PAC controllers?

So why would anyone tap the fusebox wire? Or are some people not running the pac controller?
