Default HD tuner adapter??

Does anyone know of an adapter that can be added to an OEM Nav radio for the C6 that can make the radio an HD radio? I remember a few years ago Sony made an adapter for their radios to do this. I would like to have better sound without losing the Nav features in my HUD.

This is what I'm talking about, do you smart ones think something like this will work on our stock Nav units? This would allow better sound quality and add an amp and still keep the Nav unit working in the HUD.

That tuner is made to plug in to Sony radios that don't have HD built in, it can't be used on a stock nav radio.

Call Dennis at DoubleDmods.com, he posted this thread a few years ago. You may still be able to get the isimple and HDRT.

Yes I understand it is for a Sony radio. I want to know if there is anything out there in the marketplace that can adapt our Nav radio to be an HD radio, if there is then we have a chance at getting a better Quality sound from our radios without losing the navigation in our HUD units.
I know I can replace the radio for a better Quality sound but I don't want to give up my nav in the HUD. It's a shame that GM is always behind the 8 ball when it comes to radio technology.

Would be nice if I could disconnect the Sat radio adapter and run the Sony HD adapter in it's place.

Before you spend your cash, you might do a Google search on HD radio. It is pretty much an orphan/dead technology. In most places the only HD stations are college ones or PBS. and the range is very limited.

GM and possibly others might not want hd due to private interest but there a still quite a few stations in larger cities that have great content. I hope you're wrong,

I'm sure in the 2 1/2 years since he posted they have added a few additional HD stations.

Ah... Yeah! It's better than being in the group that didn't figure out... AKA your group.

Time proves everyone wrong. Wasn't the world flat at some point?
