I have an '07 convertible with 3LT. The car did not come with OnStar. I know this is usually something installed at the plant when the car is built Is it something that can be added? Does GM sell the parts separately or as a package?

Thank you for the response. Could you give me an idea where to find this? I've called two large Chevy dealers and both stated there is no OnStar package available through their parts or service departments.

I would have thought that a Chevy dealer could order that as a package even now, but maybe not. Many new car packages can still be ordered from dealers now.

I don't think you can add OnStar to a C6 that didn't originally come with it. You could buy all of the needed parts, but the harness will still be missing, and it would be almost impossible to install it even if you did find one.
I suppose some people would like the piece of mind knowing that they were watching you, and checking up on your car every month for needed maintenance, but a cell phone and AAA membership are about the same.
There are aftermarket OnStar rear view mirrors available
