Basic C6 sub wiring?

Basic C6 sub wiring?
I want to install a BASIC sub in my 2010 base model coupe, my plans are this: purchase a JL/Supervettes/Vettenuts sub box to fit in the rear storage compartment on the drivers side
I want a amp which has the speaker level inputs so that I can tie into the factory speaker wires to turn on the amp ( many amps offer this feature )
Can I tap into the rear factory speaker wiring to do this? This would be for ease of installation reasons, will this work? thanks

you can not use LOC in a C6 and must use the aoemgm24 or addgm24 harness if retaining stock radio
