2007 C6 Base Audio upgrade complete
I recently sold my 97 and purchased a 2007 Base coupe. I love the vehicle but unfortunately the stereo left me unsatisfied. I had a pioneer app radio 2 left over from a previous vehicle and decided I would use it as the centerpiece of the system. I went to my local audio shop that has worked on a previous Acura TL and my current Lexus GS 350 Fsport, they do excellent work. I purchased JBL 6.75" components for the front, 5.25" coaxles for the rear and utilized a kicker comp 10" sub that I already had. All of the speakers are ran off of a newly purchased JBL 6 channel amp. Since the Pioneer only had 2volt pre-outs and 2 sets, I purchased an Audio Control LC7i to get boost the preamp output level and to keep full control of balance and fade. While the dash was out, I had them do a carbon fiber vinyl wrap that matched the new targa top and halo wrap. They incorporated the wrap onto the sub box for a little added touch. The doors and rear hatch area where deadened with dynomat.
