Help finding front speakers for 1972 coupe
I am trying to get two front dash pad speakers for my 72 Vette and having trouble. I ordered a pair from Corvette America (26320) which are actually Custom Autosound (their number CAM-462 - decal & name on magnet) which they list on their website as correct for year & model but they don't fit. The problem with the speakers is that they have a "cone" in the center that sticks up about 3/8", so it will not bolt up flush with the dash pad. The speaker needs to be flat on top, but I can't seem to find one like that....at least for a reasonable price....I am not a stereo type person, meaning I don't turn up the volume or base so a "super speaker" is not needed. I just want something that I can turn on the radio and listen to some music, can anybody turn me in the right direction?
