Default Stealthbox Sub Options?

I've found a used stealthbox for my C6 but it doesn't have a sub in it. Is the JW 10w1v3 the only option? If not is it the best option? It just seems pretty high on JW's website and I've heard mixed things about JW sub's lately.

Thanks, haven't bought car stereo stuff in a long time!

JL subs are some of the best in the business and spec nearly perfect but they often sound better in larger boxes than minimum spec.

imo they really shine around qtc .700 so the qtc .707 alignment is what i normally aim for. use your favorite box design software. input parameters and model accordingly

If it's one of the corner sub boxes for the C6, you'll want a JL w3v3 and not a w1v3; they're better suited for the specs of those boxes and will sound much better/hit harder.

I recently got the JL Stealthbox and it comes preloaded with a 10w1v3. I use to have one in my 2005 C6 but back then it was preloaded with a 10w3v2. I reached out to JL to ask if the new 10w3v3 will fit and they said no. The magnet is bigger than the previous generation 10w3 which increased the mounting depth and it will hit the back of the box. You can contact JL to see if you get a different answer but I don’t see a reason for them to lie because I would have purchased a 10w3v3 if they said it would fit and I would have just sold off my 10w1v3.

hmm, that's strange... I can't imagine the specs of the JL stealthbox are too different from those found in the vettenuts box (what I have) or one of the other options out there... I dropped the JL w3v3 right into the vettenuts box and it fit with no issue.

I guess the JL box is a bit different!

Yeah, after getting the JL Stealthbox and hearing the 10w1v3 I thought about selling it and getting the vette nuts box with the 10w3v3.

I am not going to say the 10w1v3 is a bad sub but I can tell it doesn't have the same bass response as my old 10w3v2. I am running enough power to push the 10w3v3 but I decided to see if the 10w1v3 will grow on me.
