You might want to mention what head unit you have and model number. They are all different and some brands make it easier than others if it is an option. My Pioneer makes it real easy and it's in the settings menu. It will search my USB or Sd card for pictures and gives me the option to use them for start up screen or background. I think I saw another of your posts where you mentioned you have a JVC? I'm not sure the steps for the JVC, but you can try a google search if nobody chimes in soon with an answer. I've also seen people post videos on youtube with the steps for various models, so you could get lucky with a youtube search also.
