C7 Bose Speaker Upgrades?

C7 Bose Speaker Upgrades?
I do not see any info on speaker upgrades for the C7 Bose system. I also tried going to DD Website but it seems to be down and the number for Dennis in not working.
Are there any upgrades available? Just looking to do a speaker swap.

This sticky refers to the C6 but There’s a good chance you’ll find something useful in the C6 FAQ

I don’t have a C7 but using this picture, I would do the following
Disconnect #1 and #2
For #3 and #4, I would get 6.5” components. The woofer in #4 with an adapter plate and the tweeter in #3’s location.
On #5 a set of 5.25” coax speakers
Remove #6 and get a JL stealthbox or the like.
Bypass #7 (stock amp) and get a good amp to power the new speakers.
Now as far as what speakers to recommend, I would need to know your budget as that will greatly affect speaker selection.

Would changing out just the front door 3.5 speakers with:
Jl Audio C2-350x3.5-Inch 2 Way Speakers
And rears with:
Jl Audio C2-525x 5 1/4" 2 Way Speakers with Silk Dome Tweeters
make a noticeable difference in clarity and quality of sound, or is this just a waist of money?
I'm not sure I want to go the whole amp, components route just yet.

I have done this with some success in a few of my cars or trucks. Currently my daily driver is a Ram Laramie pickup with the optional Alpine factory system. The sound was somewhat muddled so I replaced most of the speakers with some not expensive aftermarket ones and it much improved the sound. I even replaced the factory shallow 8” sub with a shallow 8” Rockford Fosgate. Overall it gave me a pretty decent system considering it is still mostly stock. Stock systems don’t get too loud but sound quality was much improved. Sometimes it does take a little experimenting to get right. I went through a couple of 3.5” dash speakers before finding the right ones. I would suggest starting with the 3.5” speakers, they will probably make the biggest difference to improving sound quality. Just try to keep in mind the limitations of your stock system. Sometimes the most expensive speakers that need lots of power are not the best choice for this type of upgrade.

I've done it. The Bose speakers are weird impedance and the Bose electronics does a great deal of equalization to make up (poorly) for the cheap speakers. Replacing them is like putting paint on a rusty fender. It may look better but it is still rotten underneath.

@DWilly I replaced all the speakers except for the center, rear subwoofer, and 10” door speaker with FOCAL’s on the factory amp. Now I want to replace the 10” door speakers what do you recommend or what did you finally do with your setup.

I used some Scanspeak speakers (25W/8565-00). The Dynaudio MX-182 would also be a good speaker. What is best for you depends on if you use a sub and what equipment you use (interface/amplifiers/equalization) as well as what type of sound you're after and your fab skills. For the Scanspeaks I had adapters cut on a waterjet at work - not something readily available to most.
Page down through this forum. There are threads on modifying the C7. Noise control alone can make a significant difference.

I would not replace the 10 inch with a 6 inch or even another 10 inch without replacing the amp.
If you just want a bit more, then just add dynamat to your inner and outer door skins.
if you have a 1LT, then get an amp and a sub in the back. I have the JL Audio single 10tw3 for sale. You could get that, a sub amp, and amp add on harness to make it simple
