Default HELP! CD to PXDP Problem

I think I have read every thread on this subject and can not find a solution to my problem; I have a stock Bose in-dash CD unit. I have had a PXDP adapter with GM4 harness. I have had this in my 2000 convertible since I bought the car in 2007. It has worked great until I had to put a new cable from the PXDP to mi iPod. I took the old cable off and plugged in the new one since then I can not get the iPod to work or the CD. I have tried everything, I think. I have pulled the fuse and then plugged the unit back in after a few hours. I have pulled the fuse started the engine and then put it back in. I unplugged the unit and then plugged it back after setting all night waiting 10 minutes turned on the radio. I have put a CD in the player and I get “ERR”. Nothing seems to work. I am at wits end on this.
